All proceeds from BBQ for the BRAVE will go to our veterans and be shared between two organizations:

Central Midlands Transitional Retreat. When veterans return home from active duty, many find civilian life to be a greater challenge than they can accomplish alone. Central Midlands Transitional Retreat provides programs, services and housing to 90 homeless veterans in Lexington, SC.

Friends of Fisher House. Located at major military and VA medical centers around the world, The Fisher House Foundation provides housing and hospitality to military and veteran families at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. With over 70,000 active military and veterans in our state, a Fisher House is greatly needed. Unfortunately, TWJB Dorn VA Medical Center does not have the funds at this time. Therefore, half of the proceeds raised during our event on May 25, will go towards efforts currently underway to build a Fisher House in Columbia, SC. Friends of Fisher House have already raised $200,000 of the needed $3,000,000 and anticipate breaking ground in late 2020 or early 2021.
